Thank you most for your expertise, your dedication and your intuitive empathy.
I hope this email finds you well and that you've found some time to enjoy the summer. Rumor has it that South Florida is having somewhat unseasonably cooler temperatures than the Northeast.
This note has been two and a half years in the making. While today is one year since you set my ankle 'straight', its journey really started on December 18, 2010 – when I met you for the first time and promptly announced to you that I needed you to fix my ankle because I had only 123 days before my Hawaii vacation. I never had a single doubt that all would turn out the way that it has, I just could not see it at the time. Since that day, I have been to Hawaii, the Rockies (well, the Canadian ones), Alaska, Mexico, the Caribbean and Las Vegas. I have walked up and down beaches and trails, snorkeled, swam with dolphins and turtles, climbed a waterfall, and walked the Vegas strip. I've had a few lapses in judgment and was quickly reminded "Hey, I can't move like that, so please can we find another way", or "I can't go anymore, please let's rest", all the way to "You have lost your mind, now take that!"
I want to thank you for making it possible for me to have these experiences in a way that I'd not had in a VERY long time. Thank you and your entire staff for making me feel comfortable at your office. Thank you for being patient with me. And thank you most for your expertise, your dedication and your intuitive empathy. These sir, are rare traits that one does not come across singularly very often. To be on the receiving end of all three ... unprecedented.
